Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo, who plays for Saudi Arabian team Al Nassr, had the referee change the penalty decision.
Ma Ning, the referee of the Al Nassr-Persepolis match in the Asian Champions League, showed the penalty spot after Ronaldo fell in the penalty area in the second minute of the game.
The 38-year-old soccer player went to the referee and changed the decision, saying that the position was not a penalty.
The game ended in a goalless draw. As league leaders with 13 points, Al Nassr secured a place in the final 16 rounds.
