Real Madrid are continuing their efforts to secure the transfer of Alphonso Davies as he prepares to leave Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich. Although Real Madrid have agreed on the transfer with Alphonso Davies, a middle ground has not yet been found with Bayern Munich regarding the transfer fee. News from AS’s NTV Spor said that Real Madrid could pay up to €30 million for Alphonso Davies, while Bayer Munich were asking for €50 million.
BAYERN MUNICH INSISTS ON A NEW CONTRACT
The news states that Bayern Munich are continuing their negotiations over a new contract despite their interest in Alphonso Davies and the player’s desire to leave the club. However, it was discovered that the maximum salary Bayern Munich could offer was €14 million a year, while Davies wanted €20 million. If Bayern Munich do not sell Alphonso Davies, who is entering the final year of his contract, in the summer transfer window, there is a chance the star player could leave the team next season without a transfer fee.
TONI KROO’S FORMULA IN TRANSFER
Real Madrid have been found to have implemented a transfer strategy similar to that of Toni Kroos for Alphonso Davies. Kroos was entering the final year of his contract playing for Bayern Munich and signed for Real Madrid in 2014 for €25 million.
It was reported that Real Madrid were going down the same path again and if Bayern Munich didn’t accept €30 million, the transfer could happen next year without a transfer fee.
One of the two names will go
If Alphonso Davies moves to Real Madrid, he will part ways with one of the two players on the left side of defense. It has been stated that Ferland Mendy or Fran Garcia could leave the team following the Davies transfer and this decision will be left to the technical team.
