The Gondomar multi-purpose pavilion will go down in the history of Spanish indoor football in a very special way. In fact, it is the only place that can boast of having hosted two La Roja titles. In 2007, the men’s team won the European Championship title against Portugal. And on February 17, 2019, the girls opened their own chapter in history by winning the first women’s title.
After defeating Russia in the semifinals (5:0), the hosts waited in a final that soon began to be decided. Mayte Mateo in the 4th minute, Anita Lujn in the 6th minute and Ampi in the 10th minute got the game going again and Vane Sotelo put the finishing touches to the perfect tournament in the 36th minute (4:0).
