Nowadays, the training course to become a goalkeeping coach takes place at the National Football Center of Iran.

According to “Varzesh Se”, the Asian Football Confederation Level 1 Goalkeeper Coaching Course for Iranian Goalkeeper Coaches started on February 20 and lasts for a week (Friday). The instructor of this course is from Oman.

Mohammad Haroun, the Omani FIFA and AFC goalkeeping coach, is teaching Iranian goalkeeping coaches this week so that they can finally obtain the A-level certificate.

This goalkeeper coaching course at the National Football Center of Iran involves some coaches including Mohammad Habibi, Rasul Zamani, Nader Ghbishavi, Farshad Bakhtiarizadeh, Kazem Farhani, Hossam Zaitouninejad, etc., who train under the supervision of the Omani coach.

Zaitouninejad, the goalkeeping coach of Iran’s Omid national team under head coach Mehdi Mahdavikia, is the youngest coach to take part in this course, which is being held for the first time in Iran.

The first phase of this training course for Iranian goalkeeper coaches will take place in person and the second phase will take place online.
