Inter Milan confidently regained the lead in Serie A against Udinese. City rivals AC lost in Bergamo.
Champions League finalist Inter Milan has jumped back to the top of the table in Serie A. Coach Simone Inzaghi’s team won convincingly 4-0 (3-0) against Udinese Calcio and surpassed record champions Juventus Turin, who beat defending champions SSC Napoli 1-0 on Friday.

Former Bundesliga professionals Hakan Calhanoglu (37th, penalty kick) and Marcus Thuram (44th) scored for Inter. With three goals before the break in just seven minutes – in addition to Calhanoglu and Thuram, Federico Dimarco also scored (42nd) – Milan made everything clear.
Two goals from Lookman
Atalanta Bergamo brought AC Milan to their knees, a late goal from Luis Muriel (90+5) sealed the 3-2 (1-1) win. In the 38th minute, former Leipzig player Ademola Lookman scored the opening goal for the Bergamo team, which Olivier Giroud equalized for Milan shortly before the break (45th + 3).
In the second half, Lookman scored a brace to make it 2-1 in the 55th minute, before ex-Frankfurt player Luka Jovic made it 2-2 ten minutes before the end. Milan’s Davide Calabria (90.+3) saw the yellow-red card, shortly afterwards Bergamo’s winning goal came.
Gatti scores for Juventus
Juventus took the lead in the table for one night on Friday. The “Old Lady” defeated the defending champions SSC Napoli 1-0 (0-0). Federico Gatti (51st) scored the winning goal for Juve, who are unbeaten in ten games and have only dropped four points during this series.
Inter (38 points) and Juve (36) have already moved ahead a long way after 15 games. AC Milan is in third place with 29 points.
